Regiment: 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: October the six 1861 Dear father and mother i take my pen in hand to write you those few lines hopeing to find you in good helth as it levas me at present i have not got a letter from you for three weeks and i dont know how it is i wish you would let me knowhow you can not wright or where the letters mised or not pleas to wright so soon as you can all the boys get letters but me i wish you would send me some papers to read i sent you four or five papers i dont know where you got it or not so pleas to wright so soon as you can we ar going to move tomorow to anther camp so soon as we get there i will wright again and sen you a paper i will send home som pretty piturs to mary Jane and Sam and Jim and send some paper for Miss Chesterfield to wright love letters with So no more at present from your faitful son Richard Chesterfield Washington D.C.
