About the Author
On July 26, 1864, Charles J. Fox enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant in the 4th Michigan Reorganized Infantry Company G. He was mustered into service on October 8. Fox was listed as being transferred from Company G to Company H and as being in command of Company H from August to September. On October 24, 1865, he was promoted to Captain of Company H. Charles J.
