You will see by the date of this letter that I have once more left home and gone to
the land of Dixie and as I am indebted to you for a letter I will now have the present of
opportunity of answering it. I shall write only a short letter for we are not yet
[ ? ]
and settled in our new camp. We left Kalamazoo last Friday and arrived at this place on
Sunday. Sammy came to Kalamazoo to see me the day before we left and went home
with my wife. We are having very fine weather here but rather cool. I never received the
volume of the new
[ ? ] of
[ ? ] you wrote to me you had sent to me. Enclosed you
will find a photograph of the family.
