Dear father and mother i my
pen in hand to wright you a few
lines hopeing to find you all
in goo helth as it leaves me at
present i have not got much
time to wright now but i will
wright you a few lines to but
you kow i am well i
got your letter of the
16th and i was glad to recive it
i wish you would sent letters
oftener tell mother not to be
scard for we are not going
to fight any more this
winter pleas to wright so soon
as you can i would like to
wright more but i aint got
time to day
Wright as soon as you
get this tell Alexander i
would for him to be down
here and he would see
somthing William said
we mad a good pair of
heels but it is northing to
joke about tell mother i am
just as well here as at home
at present and not to
be carde
