Regiment: 4th Michigan Calvary Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Feb Nashville 21th 1864 tenn Dear wife I am in good helth and i hope this will find you all the same i arived here last night and i dont no when we shal leave here we left grandrhapid last tusday night we past thrue ypsilanty wendesday about 10 o clock i did not no that we was coming that way if i had i should of let you noed it i sent father 60 dollars by expres to ypsilanty thare is no use of your writing until i git to a stopping place and then i will write and let you no and i want you to write all the partiklers wtcth i am tired i hve have not slep hardley aney sence i started it is warm down here i have not some any boddy that i no yet i would of liked to got them likeness before i left but if you have not sent them wate til i git to the ridgment and i want you to git yours takon and send that to i want you to do the best you can until i git back if the lord is willing and we wil not part again until death i want you to pray for me and i wil try and do the same give my respects to al my friends i wil write again in a day or to so good by kis the children for me From your true and affectionate Husband George W Baker To L.
