About the Author
Private Oliver C. Gaylord, of New Haven, Michigan, enlisted at the age of 30 in the 3rd Michigan Cavalry Company G on October 6, 1861. He was mustered into service on October 14. Oliver C. Gaylord died of disease on April 26, 1862 at St. Louis, Missouri. He is buried at the Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri at gravesite 943.Documents for this Author:
