Camp Stocton May 9th/63 Dear Sister I will write a few lines to you to let you know how we are Erastus is well he is down town taking care of the sick Horses I am a little better than when I wrote to you before

Camp Stockton April 30th, 1863 Dear Sister, I received yours of the 26th this morning and was glad to hear that you was well. My health is not very good now. I have a bad cough and have been laid up for about two weeks with a gathering in my head. It broke last Saturday. It is getting some better now.

Camp Stocton Apr 17th/63 Dear sister we received yours of the twelth and and one from Ann & Louisa yesterday morning and was glad to hear that you were all well we are both well Erastus wrote home yesterd so I will write to you to day
