your letter came to
hand a fiew days
ago and I thought
I would send you a
fiew lines in return
as I have wrote letters
to Aunt and Lib a
short time ago teling
them all the news I wil
not say much at this
time but refer you to them
with the excptions of a bad
cold I took on the trip after
Gen Wheeler I am quite
well and so is Thomas
we have not anything verry
hard to do now but they
generly keep us pretty bus
Drilling and one thing
and on other they keep
us on the go most all the
time the wether is beginning
to look quite like fall
we have not had any frost
yet but there is some of the
nights ar verry cool I sup-
pose you have had fine time
with your Uncle Alexander
and I wish could have been
thare and seen him to but
it is out of the question so
I must content my self her
tel Nett that I think I owe
her a letter and I wil send
her one by an by give
