Dear Sister
I received your
letter to day and was glad to
hear that you were well I have
been sick ever since I wrote
to you before 8 companys went
the 12 of this month our Company
went but I was not able to go
with them they left me in
the barracks for there was
no room for me in the Hospi
tal I stayed there four days
then I got to the Hospital I was
so as to be up part of the
time I am getting a good deal
better now my cough is gettin
better and my head is getting
better slowly the bloat is
getting out of my limbs some now
I was down town to day
Erastus was well when he
left they went to Detroit on
Horse back then part went to
Cleavland on the Boat the
rest on the cars when they
got to Cleavland they all took
cars for Cincinatti there
they crossed the Ohio River
and went to Covington
Kentucky and went into Barrack
the rest of the Regiment will
be likely to go some time
next week I think
that if
that I will be able to go
with them if I dont get any
worse I have
first rate fare here now
the Ladies come almost every
day and bring something
for the sick we have
very plesant weather here
this spring the trees
look green the apple pear
and Cherry trees are in full
bloom they stand thick
around the Hospital I have
not received any other letter
for about three weks I
did not get this so as to send
last night so I will finish this
morning I feel prety well
this morning you must write
as soon as you get this and
let me know how you are
yours in the cause of liberty
