Morgan Camp Near Ky River July 23/63 Dear Sister I received your letter the other day and was glad to hear that you were well we have been moving about so so much that I don’t get a chance to write when I want to we are camped in the woods close to the Ky River this is the fourth Camping ground we have had within [  ?  ] miles of here we have had to clear off two the most of our Regt is after morgans. they left the night of the 4 I suppose what is left here will soon move again my health is getting pretty good Erastus here he is well we did not have any extras the 4 our Co was guard for the Battery at the Skirmish they did not fire wit their rifles there was 30 wagon loads of prisoners went by here day before yesterday the mail is going and I must close from your Brother Robert
