Dear Cousin
Your truly
welcom letter dated Feb 15
th 65
came at hand last evening
believe me dear Cousin I was
very glad to hear you and
your People was all well.
mate I have been quite unwell
for two weeks back with a large
carbunkle on my neck and fever but
I am some better now then
you are having gay times
this winter I wish I could
be there to enjoy some
of those parties. But hear I
am way down in dixie
I dont alow my self to

But I have been most awfal
lonesome
Since I have been married
But Heattie writes me great
long letters so that helps out
some. I had a letter from
Charley P. a few days a go
he is well & I had one from
Jim he is well and is
mighty pleased

Sister and By the way I want
you to marrey Jim good felow
for I want some new connection
But by all means be carful
for it is not all goald that
shines oh. Mate tell your ma
to have my geese ready by the
time this war is over for she
promist me some when I
got married I am not
quite like Eliza. Soper do you
remember when she thought
she had a man

Sunday the weather is warm
as it is in may at home the
robins and Blue Birds are
singing lik fun to charnge

a good long one all tell her

down in Wayne Co for
