Dear Father
As I was writing
to Libbie this morning I
thought I would put in a
few lines for you in answer
to those you sent in Libbies
letter. I think I have written
all the news in her letter.
you spoke about my pay well
as to that we have not received
any yet we mustered yesterday
but I can not tell when we
shall get our pay. there is Six
months pay due us now. You
need not send any money
for I think I can get along
without at present. we are
having very plesant weather
now have been having a great
deal of rain for the last
week or two. I dont think
John Cogart has returned
yet. We have had two quite
heavy snow storms this winter.
My health is very good hope
these few lines will find
you all in better health.
I dont intend to draw
any money from home
if I can help it.
write as soon as you get
this & let me know how you
are getting along Libbie says
most all of our folks are sick.
Respectfully yours.
