Be pleased to see that all you pioneers
are put in platoons, armed with implements
and placed at the head of your Division at
at review. Have no Brigade pioneers.
Turn out all the black servants, cooks
etc. you can conveniently clothe neatly, and make
plattoons of them to march in rear of Regiments.
See that the six ambulances for Brigades
are cleanly washed, and have stretchers attached.
Have the field music of Brigades assem-
bled, and practised marching and halting with-
out changing time. The field music will turn
out and play while the troops are passing the
reviewing officer, and the ruffle should be
sounded to the color by a potion of the drums,
without interupting the music. All Brass music
should be placed at the head of Brigades and
not turn out.

Battalion Com’drs should be instructed
to shorten the step just before reaching the
reviewing stand, even if distance is lost, and
after passing neither to halt or mark time even
if
