Dear Sister again i take
my pen in hand to let you kno
how i am a getting a long my helth
is kno better yet I hop these
few lines will find you all well
thare was a man died hear this
morning with the lock jaw he was
wounded in the head i wish I could
hear from home and hear how my
folks are a getting a long i had one
letter from
[ ? ] and one from lile
since i have bin hear and that is all
now since wright to me and tell me
wat is the reason that liza
aint wright to me atall i have
a letter from you when i was at
nashville and not any since oh
how i wish i could see my children
but may be that i never will
see any of you a gain but i hope
i will some day and that before
long i
[ ? ]not mean to
[ ? ] go
South a gain but if i do I shal do
the best i can for myself so i will
close for this time wright soon
give my love to all and except
the same your self
our men killed and and tuck fore thousand
rebs last thursday at franklin town
oh jes a little more
write soon and tell me all the

tell when you herd from

last and whare he was when
you heard from him and what
father thinks about the war
