Regiment: 1st Michigan Engineers Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Bridgeport April 28 1864 Dear little Brother Newtie has never heard from that long letter he wrote you but I though you would be glad to get another letter from me. I am going to tell you about a nice little grey squirrel. One day when the men cut down a big tree there was a pretty little squirrel in it, with two little black eyes, two little ears, four little feet and a long bushy tail. The men caught him and took him to their tent in a little while he got tame. He will run all over the boys and get into their pockets to try and find something to eat in the morning he will go and wake all the boys up in the tent and play around. His little eyes will shine. I wish you had such a nice little squirrel dont you. I hope you are well. I would like to kiss your little mouth just once. Good Bye for the present             Your Soldier Brother Eddie Fox                               Newton P. Fox Eddie Fox Present
