Dear Sister It is with pleasure that I seat myself to write those few lines to let you know that I am well and hope this will find you the same this is the second camp we have been in since I wrote you last, we are moving about every day, we are first in VA, and next in DC I went to washington saturday and had my profile drawn, and I am going to send one to you, and I shall expect yours in return if you can make it convenient I would like for you to have all your familys taken and send to me, and when I receive it I will send you the cost, I have not written to Margaret yet but I will soon give John my best wishes and tell him to stay at home is constitution is not strong enough to stand sogering we have a battallion drill at three oclock P.M. write often excuse bad penmanship yours truly G.W.F.
