I suppose you have heard long before this that wh we had a melodean but for fear you h that he letter get mi carriid I will describe it-again I- [          ?          ] case use wood frame pronounced by Prof. [  ?  ] to be an excellent one. For spoke about Lillis and me having a good time again to the reading circle I did have a very pleasant time when I went but I staid late that is until eleven oclock so I cannot go any more this summer but wait until fall he only said I couldnt go any more this summer In Mason preacher Byrnix Brewers funeral surmon out to Alpine to day He [       ?       ] let a rake fall on his hand and one of the teeth went into his hand quite a ways it troubles him considerable, We sent you a box last Wednesday which I hope you will receive I also sent you in a letter a fine comb. I have been expecting Ezelia here all day but she does not make her appearance. On the fourth- of July there is agoing to be a balloon ascension by Prof. Azers. Last night I staid all night with his Deca[  ?  ]. We have had a great many flowers but most of these are out of blossoms. The [  ?  ] has string most of the plumbs. He shall have considerable may strawberries if there is half as many strawberries as there is blossoms. We have some new neighbors on our sides of us a [  ?  ] miles he keep a furnishing store below the [  ?  ]. Charley W. sent you a letter in the box. Addie received the book you sent her and was very much pleased with it. We receive the Nashville Union Regular. Sarah and Mary were up to see me yesterday, for the 3rd time since you went away. Dont you think we are very friendly. Ezelias time is out to [  ?  ] Wilders and she is going out serving at 3 shillings a day I guess we will hire her one day this week. Mrs Burten is out to get her things and they are picking up the house looks as naked as can be. You know all the furniture and every thing belongs to her I expect L & N will be over here to [  ?  ] in our [  ?  ] new theres is gone. We expect to hear good news from Vicksburg and Murfreesboro before long. I have got a new hat trimed with white ribbon and black velvet. Oh how I dislike it but it is all the fashion and so what is the difference. The mesqustos mosquitoes are getting to be quite troubesome. The fire man had a grand review last week Miss B. B. has gone out in the country she sent a box Charley before she went. My dishes are waiting for me to wash them so I must hurry and finish. You say that you have a great many minerters at Nashville I suppose that you had rather had [  ?  ] mason them all the rest [  ?  ] has been most sich for the last three or four days I suppose that his De Camp being here tirered tired his out.
