Dear Sister Becky:
I commenced writing to
you last Sunday, but was stopped, and now
have only time for a few lines. I left L—
last Monday. Charley & I went to Bellefontaine
and had a bully old time till Thursday when,
he left and I tried to but the train broke down
and I had to wait till yesterday, and got
here last night about ten oclock raised uncle
Joshua out of bed and spent the night there.
I have lost my trunk and all
my things and will wait here until Tuesday
or Wednesday to hunt it up. We had a
wedding at Bellefontaine, was head over heals
there and couldnit write and have notime
now. I never saw them better, livelier, or
in as good circumstances. I have been no
place here by Joshuas and at the Bank
where I am now writing. I will be home
soon and talk more than I can write.
I must get my trunk first.
and hurry to Marshall. I am afraid
I will not be there in time.
The friends all send their love
I am well and send mine, no more now
