Regiment: 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: September the 25 Dear father and mother i sit me down with my high top hat to wrigt you a few lines hopeing to find you in good helth as it leaves me at present We have recived a plenty of new close and we are in pretty good sprits i wish you would write oftener i sent you a letter dated the fiftenth i dont know where you recived it or not i have no news particular to send we have got pretty good times now i recived a letter from Alexander Hefferran with plenty of fun in it gorge harris is sick and i think he will come home if he dos i will send home a present to some of you this pitcure you see on this letter is the capitol of Washington i have been wround it servel times it a fine sight to look at Pleas to wright so soon as you can yours truly R Chesterfield Wishington
