I need not tell ou that it was received and read with much pleasure. Maggie I think you were piqued a little by what I said about your being corgultish. I meant no harm by what I said about it. Are we not all more or less so girls in particular I neve saw but few but what were Thank you; for the trouble you took to give me information with regard to Miss Walker, I did not deserve it. but she is in all probability all to me now that she ever will be; so what is the use speculating I have not seen Mr Blain (as you call him) I call him Rat since your letter was rec’d. I will tell him all you told me to, no, I do not know as he gets any letters in red envelops now, and yet he may for aught I know, why do you ask? But Maggie I do think there is a chance for you. for all you protest Lou is so good looking wich I cant see there is a chance for you and my advice to you is improve it Blain has taken quite a liking to your face, and I think he would like to correspond with you, and tomorrow I am goin to get him to write to you. just to plague Louise if nothing more. Glad to hear you had such a good visit at Carolines. I wish I had been there notwithstanding you. did not wish any such thing Yes I will come that way and take you out sleigh riding of course I will put on your dry guads + wait until I come. I wrote to Nell not long since I have read no answer yet. I also write to Phebe it a few days ago. There is prospect of our leaving hersoon of course we know not where. La Seve, is here and well also Alf- Shepard. those two are all that you are acquainted with now with that I believe it is getting late “lights out” has sounded I must close.
