Dear Mary
I seat my self to answer
yours of the third which I recieved
this morning and was glad to
get it and to hear that you are
wel I am as wel as usual I am
troubled some with the rheumatism
in my wright hand and shoulder
I recieved yours and a picture
last week after about 6 weeks
travil and I thank you for
the one I recieved to day you
wil please direct all mail
matter to Mr. Theophilus R.

Louisville K.Y. I get my mail
quicker that way but express to Nashville
and direct to the regt the same
as mail matter we are expecting
to move again in a few days
but do not know when
nor whare they say we are a going
into winter quarters but I guess
it wil be over the left I am
glad that your Mother concluded
to come out their and spend the
winter that is if the folks are
glad to have them but if not
I should be sorry I shal look
now for a long letters from
you and both your Mothers
now but tel all the rest of
folks not to write unless they
want to I do not thik of
eny more to write give my love
to all inquiring friends, except
this from your ever loving
