Residing in Lamont, Michigan, Sergeant Alonzo M. Wolaver enlisted at the age of 24 in the 5th Michigan Cavalry Company B on August 14, 1862 at Tallmadge, Michigan. He was mustered into service on August 27. He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant of Company H on November 17, 1864 and to 1st Lieutenant on April 14, 1865. Alonzo M. Wolaver was discharged on June 19 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.Documents for this Author:
