George W. Perkins, of Jackson, Michigan, enlisted as a Private in the 7th Michigan Infantry Company B on August 8, 1861 at Monroe, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 22 on August 26, 1862. Perkins was listed as being wounded on July 4 at an undisclosed location. George W.
