Regiment: 7th Michigan Infantry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Camp Benton febuary the 4th 1862 Dear friends I now take my pen to rite you a few lynes to let you no that I am well at presant and hope you the same we got our pay to day and I thought that I would send you some to pay for a nother yoak of oxen. if you can git them by paying half down. and fat the old oxen + buy them rite away if you can git them and turn the old oxes out in the spring and let them run untill fall and fit fat and kill them I send you forty dollars now and I cant send no more untill Time next no more at presant Good by all our lieutenant is a goin home in the morning he is agoin to and i sind this mony by him rite as soon as you get this from your son          GEO.
