About the Author
Sergeant Joseph A. Gleason, of Chesterfield, Michigan enlisted in the 10th Michigan Infantry Company G on October 6, 1861 at Memphis, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 21 on February 6, 1862 and was later promoted to 1st Sergeant. On February 16, 1864, Gleason re-enlisted into the 10th Michigan Infantry. Joseph A. Gleason died at Jonesboro, Georgia on September 1.Documents for this Author:
