Camp Sitsboro Tenn July 21 ’63
Dear Sister
it is with the greatest of Pleasure that
I have a few spare moments this afternoon
to direct a few lines to you to let you
know how I am a getting along I am
quite well I left Louisville the 17
th
and got here last night I was
fore dayes and three nights I came
through whare the 19
th was camped
day before yesterday but I did not see
any of the days that I knew I sent
you thim pictures did you get them
thare is no news to write I had
a good time coming on the cares
I stayed all night in nashville
and I went to the thiriter the boys
in my co is all well how long we will stay
here is more than I can tell thare
is Plenty to eat down here lots of black
barries and apples and new potatoes
I shal go out picket tomorrow
the rebels are a coming in every day
and give themselves up I have not
much to writ for I have to fix up my
tent the boys are all glad to see me
back to the Co
Write soon I must stope for
my thoughts are a wandering and
I cannot call
them back I have to write to

to all of my friends I must close
