Camp Copland Washington March 9 Friend Harold I received your letter in due season. You said that Jim Taylor has enlisted in a battery. I am sorry that he didn’t get in our company. Captain Willits says that he would hike to have him in our company. Our regiment went out on another raid but did not confiscate anything. We went after old Stuart but he kept out of our way and I think it as the best thing that he could do for we had to strong a force for him.
