Oct the 30 1863 Camp near
Granvill east tennesse
wall my wife as this
day finds me with pen
in hand to write a few lines
to you to let you know
that i am well at present
and hope these few lines
may find you the
same as for me i am
all rite and tite
i recived one letter from
you last week and was
glad to hear from you
i say i was this is so wall
Sina we are on our way
back a gain the rebels are
after ous a gain this is
the thurd time we have
ben drove back but we
have had reinforcement
so we are a goin back our
line of skermish went out
this morning and we hant
heard from them sence
we lay in rednes for
them they cant

We have got 35 thousan
men hear and we cant
