9 P.M.
My dear Davidson
We are to move in the
morning “sure” this time. Part of the army
has already gone and probably before you re-
ceive this you will see our movements in
the papers. I received the glass all right
and am obliged to you for your promptness.
I have not time to write any thing as
we are very busy packing up issuing orders
&c. Write me on receipt of this. We
shall probably be in a great battle in a
few days. Good bye. God bless
