th Mich. Cavl. Deposited
of his bounty at Draft
[ ? ] at
Jackson on the 6
th March 1865 the
Sum of one hundred and ninteen
30/100 dollars ($119.30) and that he has
made no assignment thereof.

duly sworn deposes & says that he is the
identical John Hogan who is a private
in Co. F 7
th Regt of Mich. Cavl. Vol.
and that there was one hundred and
twenty deposited with Joshua Howard
Paymaster U.S.A. in February A.D. 1865
belonging to this Deponant fare which
said Howard gave this Deponant a
check book (for said $120.00) and
that this Deponant lost said check book
while on duty at Point of Rocky M.D.
in April 1865, and has never been
able to find on hear of said check book
although he has searched diligently therefor.
And this Deponant deposes further &
says that the said $120.00 has never been
paid to this Deponant, nor has it been paid
to any other purpose to the knowledge on
belief of this Deponant nor has any part
thereof been paid. and this Deponant further
says that the said sum of one hundred and
twenty dollars deposited of
[ ? ] is now
due to this Deponant & unpaid.
