Wall Sina I set my self
down to rite an answer to the
letter I recived this morning
from you dated feb. the 19. so this
present time finds me seated on
the ground trying to rite
to you for I was glad to her
from you I got one from Dany
it was a small one to tell
him
him to rite one more chuch letter
if then he will find me in his
hare so I will say to you Sina
that I am in tip top helth for
me and
hop hope this will find
you the same for I dont give
sent for myself if you and the
rest of the folks are onley well
at home for I hant any home
onley her Uncle sam givs his
boys all a home some in the
Ground and some livs through
it but a few livs to what
dies Wal lthe old 9 Mich is
on it way to old Ky again
ther hoses has dide so they
are dismounted and have to
foot it over the mountain
we have traveled 4 days now
and the first day we traveld
3 miles the next day 8 miles
9 miles the next day 12
and this day 4 miles and had
to stop on the count of the
river the water is so hie
but will go on in the
morning if I git there
then I am coming home
if the rigment dont all
come they say it is all
coming home if they do
I am all rite to see my
folks and more so this
may git there before
I do and maybe I shant
come home a tall if
they do if I can git
in to drive teem for
uncle sam for 30 doll
a month but if I cant
I shall come home
