Dear Brothers + Sisters
Having been from
you nearly four months and
hearing nothing from you
is it strange that a brother should
feel a little uneasy
I wrote to you
when I was at and
also two or three times since
and mother informs me that
you have not heard from me
since I left. I gave instruct
tions in my first letter to
buy land and draw
on mother for the money
but try to make him take
Roice and Shaw’s note the
rest to be paid down in cash
Jackson’s Coat I left
at the Harrington House
according to agreement…
I bought
Clark Hilleberts Oxen and
Cow and if you can sell
or trade them one or both
to advantage you can do
so sell on time with good
security or trade for better
stock. If you did not
receive my former letters it is
doubtful whether this will reach
you or not, I will therefore
make it as short as possible-
If there is any money in
tax land and the sale has
not yet come off can
send for money and interest
$ too. in that way
I remain very Respectfully
Your Affectionate Brother
