Regiment: 2nd Michigan Cavalry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Louisville Ky Feb the 2 /63 Dear friends I take this oppertunty Send you a fiew lives to let you know how I am I am sorry to tell you that I am in the Hospital in this city I have been here a week to day I was taken sick on the 28th of last month my complaint is a verry bad dirrhea and some fevor with it the regiment is at Nashville I did not feel able to go along with them so I stayed here there is good accommadations here I get a good bed to sleep on and they live well two but it is verry little that I can eat I am just so as to e up and down all the time I got your letter of the 23 of last month I have not herd anything from Thomas since the regiment left here the wether here now is like spring Direct to Hospital No 7 Ward No 12 Louisville Ky You nede not be alarmed for I think I will soon be fit for duty agane With love to all I remain yours John Wasson Hospital No 7 Ward No 12
