This one found me in the Hospital on [ ? ] of my Back again and anto able to be out or ev en to walk about the room for I cant do it with out some one else is a leading me. I was fetched in hear on last Saterday I have fin sick for six days   I come in the Hospital with a very heavey cole on my left side and a heavey pain in my Head I was first taken with a chile running down my Back Well I am out of danger now if I dont ketch cole on top of it a gain and I dont think I will if I keep my self as i have bin for this is the section day that I have set up since I come hear So I must stop writting now and prommm- ost more the nex time when I get stronger to write So good by my love to you all and all Friends From your Son Sergt Wm A Smith Co D 3d Regt VRC Washington DC
