To Miss Clark I take they oportunity of answering your letter as I was in such a hurrey before and I did not know much wat I did day in it but we have quiet spring hear know peach trees is in  full bloome and has been for two weeks and everything is spring like and I injoy my selfe just as well as I can much better then I expected but we are in very great danger we are guarded by eighteth first Ohio Rige ment and a very small forse at that and they rebells has just began to move for they spring and we are Building fortifications and I like this part of they country they best ever since I left I am very sorry you did not get my close but I wish you would make all they inquiery you can about them one coat one vest one paiir pant one pair of boots one pair of stockings two shirts and all ware new I left them at Detroit Barricks and gave George Starkweather a order to get them and he new that I did not get them for he we went went with me to get one pair of shoes and I menti nd them before him to they man that gave them out of corse I dont want to loose them I rote for you to see George Starkweather about sending me a men watch I want a new watch from Detroit Silver with a hunting case dome ware about twenty five dollars or cheaper if he can get it I want one that will look very good and I want him to pay they posttige of it and get a garrensee and send it to me with they prise and post all together I have rote two letters to him and received no answer from him and I want they watch as soon as I can get it about my tools I wish you would get some one to Oil them all up some one that does ungerstand them and tale a inventry of them and send that to me and lend no one anything of them tell them that is your Order and besure not to do so and pack them up as nise as they can and as close + if they chest will not old them get a small box for they rest for I intend to wise them again and take care of them for they are was the more then they money to me for they want of tools I know wat it is and if any one wants to buy they places you tell them that they are for sale for I think that I never shall life in Northville again but I dont know proberly sercam stances will alter cases and when you send they childrens likenses dont send them in a case for I can get a case here and I will send mine home as soon as I can I would of sent it home when I ware in Nashville but I had no money so I could not do it bu I dont want you to send me anymore post stamps unless I send for them I rote to Starkweather to send me one dollar worth but I did not get them yet I have be paying five cents a pease for them and about they shirts dond you make any till I day so for I have just got some new ones but I wish you would get me a firstrate house wife and fill it with thread needles shears and get a nise one or do not send any one I would be very usefull proberly Miss Wheeler would make you one and you can send it by they post and you take it in thy office your selfe and get it stamped so you can pay it for we can get nothing unless if is paid through for they throw our letters of they cars we keep a mail boy on they cars all they time for such work and if any thing is not paid it will lay at Nashville Post Office till Paid [On Envelope:] Ann Clark Northville Wane Con Mich
