To Miss Clark I received your letter to day which I have been looking for this last week back very anxious I rote to George Starkweather yesterday to ask ware you ware and to losons to day I could not tell ware you ware and I could not rite in Detroit to have you come or I should of like to seen you very much but I could not do it at all I wanted to tell you all about it and every thing I left Detroit with out anything and after I got in the Barricks I could not get out at all and they said that we ware to start everyday we had a very rough [   ?   ] and hard fair till we got to they regement and I am working at Waggon making so I think that I shall received my full wages per month and they say our regement is the largest in field and I can rest my time very well if I do know how the children is right and I wish you would get Docter I swift to Vaxenated William Henry I have been Vaxenated but it did not take for we have had several deaths here and I heard of Miss Peakes jol by before your letter reached me direct from Northville Mr Starkweather agreed to a tend to her case on the seventeenth of next month I told him to send me the notice and I would sign it if required [  ?  ] [  ?  ] that I [  ?  ] him five dollars I say that it is a lie I borrowed 2 dollars got that scarfe and chicken got to Perm and Demand they tell and he shall have is money that I say so tell them that I consider to be honest while I am riting I ware cold out to [   ?   ] new [   ?   ] I lent one man my gon last week to a nother man and he lost my banet so I made him keep the gon and a quitments I asked Starkweather in Detroit if I should not get a paper for you to draw for the Children and he said know that he could testify to hit and that ware enough and you should have your pay for them so I wish you to see him as soon as you can and let me know and I want you to send me word about the cow that is to come next may if you can maniger or not or if you will [  ?  ] [   ?   ] shall have to pay him five dollars and I have not done the work and I will arange for you I expect that they mortgage is allright and I expect to make evrything all right and you can lett them thats ask you anything about me and dont let any famely have that [  ?  ] house except you are a quainted with them and no children at all tell them that is your order and I wish you would let her go very peasable her time is not long you see that she destroied my pease but it is all for the best when Mr. Starkweather does come to the villige Please get some money of [  ?  ] and get James Likense and William Henrys as good as you can and if he sais any thinglet him see this and get them seprate and send them to mee as soon as you can and I want you to let me have a letter to answer mine and when I get my pay I will send you some money I have not got much with me and I have been very carefull and do intend to do so all the I never tasted liquor since I left Mich sitty and us had the chance of it I am outfit and I want to keep from it and if god will let me live to come back I think I will be a better man than every I ware so it may be a good job for me but I am [  ?  ] so [  ?  ] to make [  ?  ]
