I received
your kind and welcome
letter dated the 24
th
and was very glad to
hear from you and
glad to hear that
you was well and had
commensed going to school
I am well as usual
and enjoying my self
finaly we ar haveing
nice pleasant weather
hear now only rather
warm we have had a
good deel of rain here
this spring though
but it is dry enough
now I hadent received
any letter from you
in a long time be fore
I began to think I wasent
a going to get any
more letters from you
I wrote one to you a spell
a go and directed
it to Berlin our folks
well send it to you
most likely you said
you wished I could
be thare to see your
new home you don’t
wish so any more than
I do I bet I hope
you will have a plesant
and a good time
a going to school this
spring
Monday Morning
May 7..
I stoped writing last
night rather abruptly
for the boys came in
and made so much
noise that I could
not write so I thought
I would put it of
till this morning I
an well with the exception
of a very hard

Sabin came up to
camp a few day a
go to stay so we are
to gather a gan
Ike has got well a
gan or nearly so
he has left the hospatal
but he don’t work any
yet I don’t know
what what I shal do
to finish my letter I
cant think of any thing
to write I suppose
we ar going to be
be paid be fore long
I rather think thare
will be some fighting
out front be fore
long thare seems to be
a general forward move
ment thare is lots of
troops leaveing here every
day I rather think we
will leave here in the
course of a few weeks
but I don’t know
maybe not in a good
while I cant think
of any thing much to
write so please excuse
this poor letter and I
will try and do better
next time write often
tell me all a bout the school
