Camp Anderson
Dear Father
I take this opportunity
to inform you of our health
and how we are getting
along we are all well and
hope these few lines will
find you the same. I
was down to the city
to day to get a clean
shirt and while I was there
I bought this paper. 12 sheets
and 25 envelopes for 7 cents
and I bought me an un-
der shirt for 60 cts all at
auction. I have not received
any answer from my town
last letters yet one to libbie
and one to you. I am in
quite a hurry which you
can see by my hand writing
there is nothing new here
now. only one of our boys
had his arm broken by
a horse kicking him the
boys got a box to night
to send their cloth home
in I guess we shall send
them to morrow but I
dont want to send them
untill I get my over coat
Lieutenant Col says we
are a going to leave next
thursday they are a going
to have a great picnic
dinner on the camp ground
next wensday, I dont know
whether we will leave there
any more than we did the
last time I wrote you
I was up to head quarters
to day and they are a
making all arrangements
for leaving. I have yet
ten dollars that I
want to send to you
but I guess I wont send
it untill next time
I thought I would write
and tell you about our
leaving so you could meet
us in Marshall or Albion
when we came through
Good bye
Charles Henry P.
P.S. I am agoing to get my
likeness taken to morrow to
send home Yours forever
