and as for the news I
cant say as there is any

Monday night and it
was the coldest night that
I ever saw some of the
boys froze their feet
but I stood it bully
I dont think I want
any boots yet my old

yet we drew boots the
other day but the boots
we draw here don’t amount
to much I know I have
got enough to last
untill I get home which
wont be a great while.
it is good wheeling here
and cold as the old dick
the boys are dancing &
making so much noise
that I cant hardly write
we have got a fiddle in
our company & we have
a done evry night.
I am agoing to write
to Uncle James to night.

very long letter this time
Tell mother I am well &
