Dear wife it is with pleasure
that inow wright a few
lines to you to let you know
that iam well at present and
hope that these few lines may
find you the same iwant you
to send me naniy likeness and
yours if you can for ithink
it will be quite a pleasure to
have it to look at occasionly
lorain and Clark are both well
we ware all called out this
morning to attend a funeal
the dissease was Capt Wood
if you could have been here you
would have thougth that
you had never attender a funeral
it was the greatest procession
iever saw imust bring my
letter to a close for iam on guard
to day and cant wright
much at atime and so no
more at present from your
