Regiment: 7th Michigan Infantry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: June 3 Camp of the 2 division A C ambulance train Washington DC Dear wife inow sit down to rite a few lines to you in answer to your kind letter of the 28 which ireceived last night iwas glad to hear that you was all well iam well as usual myself thare is aconsiderable sickness here in the army thar has been as many as 18 deaths in the division hospital in one day but ihave been verry healthy the wether is verry hot but iexpect ishal be in Michigan before this month is out thare has been an order issued to discharge all the troops as fast as they can vetrans and all the on year men has been sent home and all the 62 men that thair time was out before the first of October tell B to do the best he can with his corn and if ishould not get home soon enough to help him hoe it iwill send home some money so he can hire some help but thare is no doubt but what ishal be home you spoke of my fetching home clothing but icant fetch none only what ihave now got for they wont issued none since the first of this month and ishant get no money until iget to munroe ihope ishal get home in time to eat green peas for ihave not eat any sinc ieat them with you if ihad money icould get all kinds of vegitables but they cost agood deal of money and that icant get until iget to Michigan [On Envelope:] Mrs George Phelps Dansville Ingham Co Mich
