The Gen’l Comdg directs that
you hold your force at Alexanders (near the cross
roads) well in hand and to communicate any
intelligence of importance at once to those old
Infty.
Orders have been issued to protect you in case
of any attack and Col Bouke will be also suppor-
-ted should he be compelled to come in by the
way of Powels on the Smith Bridge road.
The bearer hereof will give you all the necessary
information.
