Dear Friend Kate
I now take the
opportunity to answer your letter
of the 7
th which I received on
the 14
th and was glad to hear
from you I had burnt that letter
that you wanted me to send
to you but let that drop
for the present and we will
talk about something that is
more interesting, I was over to
see George Powers day before yesterday
he was expecting to go home in
a few days and he was showing me
the pictures that he had and I
took my choice in them and put
it in my pocket and
just as I was ready to start
to go back it droped out of my
pocket and he got it away
from me well that is the way
it always happens but I am
expecting one before long
you wanted to know
if I wanted your likeness in
a case I would like U to have
it in a case if it would be
just as well for you
I supose that Fred
is there before this time
and George Powers will be there
in a short time and you
will have lots of Po
well Sam is not there and
I dont think that he will
be this winter but one year
from next new years then look
out if the rebs dont get to
close to me heres who goes
back to Mich again.
Well Kate I see in that letter
that I got from you a
kiss from Kate to Sam
well I dont know how it is
with him, but for myself I dont
know hardley how it is don
as it has been something over a
year since I have kissed any
sort of a girl
well I cant think of any
more to write this time
but I will try and write
oftener
Good Bye
