i received your
kind and wel
com letter on
the 11 i was glad
to hear from you i am
well and hasty i am going
to rite to Jane to day so i
cant rite much this time
but i will rite 1 every week
we are going to git paid
to day and then i shall
send some money tell him
and all folks i dont
hear from them very often
i guess i will be home
before long the stars
and stripes now float over
the rebel capital the
mail is most redy to
go out so i cant rite much
