Sunday Afternoon,
Sister Mett
I just recd
two letters to day and
as Good luck would have it
one of them was from you
I was glad to hear from
you and the rest of the
folks and to hear that
you were well. Myron and
George have not got back
yet but we expect them
back tomorrow there was
thirteen of the boys came
down to day with the
logs and they said that
the rest of the boys were
all well.
Ike
[ ? ] was
here the other night he
said that the rest of
the boys looked firstrate
all but frank Well he says
that he is awful fool
Will Knapp is cooking
they had a little squirmish
the other night with the
[ ? ] but there was no
one hurt. Old Wheeler
has been trying to make
a rade on the rail road
between here and Ringold
but he hasent made out
much yet. It has been
raining most all day but
it looks as though it was
going to clear off now
it has rained a little
every day for quite a
while but who cares as
long as we dont have any
thing to do. I have done
but too days and a halfs
in three weeks so you
see that we dont have
very hard times now. I never
seed pass away as fast as
it does here. Oh hum. I
cant think of any thing to
write. I wish that you were
here to tell me something
to talk about
if you can read this
you will do better than I
can. I dont see how austa
ever came to go with me
to a dance she cant be as
large as she was. I guess
that I had better stop where
I am excuse this short
letter and I will try and
do better next time write
to me as often as you can
of it is twice a week
no more
from
your Brother Sabe
