Otho is hear will start for Burr Oak tomorrow or Tuesday & I will send the thing by him perhaps he will not get there within 1 or 2 weeks but thought it would be the best & in fact the only way. Now about the shaker I sold it to Mrs Hathaway for 5 six pence the best I could do. Duane saw Emory he gave him an order for 3# yesterday & we have not had a chance to go & see if we could get it cashed, but I will send you 3 dollars off your money & your order will be good for it when you get home, your yarn it rather fine but it is beautiful when knit, I wish you could let me have that hank of coarse yarn off yours I could foot Duane a pair off cotton socks with it, I will pay you in full in the fall, how did have you managed with that note off Reames or did Daniel take it, Ma wants you to be sure & get your flax got out if you can. Aunt Kit is about the same, Aunt Rebecky is down again bad as ever, Orville & Sarah are going to live at Lawrence he is going in pardnership with Doct Peow. Mr. Hathaway oldest boy Bub broke his legg Monday Mr. Van horn at Nimono is dead Died in the hospital John Key is not expect to live they both went in the company that our Edd first enlisted in the 19 the rest of the company are all take prisenors or killed & wounded. Lucinda has not hird from Willard dont know whether he is dead or not, we received a letter from Edd yesterday & 1 today they are all well but him he has had the ague, he got the socks I sent him Duane is going to send him a pair of boots next weeks & shall send them both some thing to eat & if you want me I will send those socks to Mitchell you knit him iff I dont hear from you in time I will send as I think you would like to have me, Now Jane does Trudy run alone yet & is she good if you dont get home before long she will forget me sure my best respects to Daniel & Mary I am in such a hurry I cant half write what I want to. It is 8 oclock & I must write to Edd yet toknight for I have not written in 2 weeks Arnold talkes of moving in to Brinks house. Van has gone out to Sturges. Write when you will be home you must hurry or you will not get any warm sugar. We have maid 70 pounds. Kiss Trudy 4 or 5 times Jane
