all well but Dave & he is getting
along very well now his Brandy

Phil sent it probly saved his
life And the things came
very good you sent me We
invited Ben over to help eat
them (saueegge I mean)
& the apple sauce was old gay
you may believe if made me
think of home & the many com

this War was over but
I think it will soon come
to an end at least we can
only hope for the best
Aas to your writing to me
you had better defer it until
you her from me again
for We are about to make a
strategic movement one
that may surprise a few
of the Rebs & some that are not
rebs too We have just got our
Baracks done & now have to leave
them so it is with us it does
but little good to prepare for
comfort for it is but moment
ary in the service But it does
no good to complain
We are now having fine
weather such as we gener
aly have in Michigan in
May Now as to the move
ment I will say they are evac
uating Corinth & this line
of Rail Road through
to memphis & of course the
16th army corpse will
make a general move probly
for Atlanta Georgia & then where
will the Rebs be I think the next
line will be Vicksburg &
Grenada but cant say for
certain as to selling my
Farm I will have to send the
Power of Atorney to Duane
for if you send a deed to be
made out here I will have to
go to Memphis & it will cost
quite a sum to have it done
it may be possible for me to
come hom after a while
but dont look for me too so
