Miss Clara yours of the 16
I received the 25, I was vary
much pleased with your
comickle letter, I am much better
since I received it. I love to
git such letters and never
git tiard of reading your
letters and I would write more
if it was not such a task
to write without anything
to do it with, but I will try
to ancer all that you write
instid of you ansin all that
I write for I see things
has taking a change from
what they once was and
another thing it is leep year
you know and the girls
must take the lead
that
is their wright and they
must improve it
I all ways beleaved in the
woman wright and that
comes every four years eny
way if not ofner well you
must improve them when you
can for it do not come ery
year but the forth one—
I can not write avary long
letter this time for I am rather
to lasy or tiard I can
not tell wich I halve
been out
back again after forage
to day. I would like to see
you vary much but I shall
wait till my time is out
if I had a chance to come
home I do not think I should
come for I never like to
meet and part again
I am well and hapey and
what more can I ask for
until I am discharged for
good if it was not for
you my love I never would
leave the army until
the was was over for
but I halve other things
to think of but fighting you
may think strange that I say
so but I love the ware
and I love the camp life
and I love to fight and
I love to hear the bulets
whisle and sing but I
love one thing more then
all that is home and its
plashers. and what makes it
that I halve a friend thare
to meet no ore to part
while one earth at least
I trust-so, write soon love
yours forever Ira Graves
