TO VICTORY
Headquarters Camp Tillinghast 2d Regt. W.V. Co. B
Dear Sister
I received your letter of the
7th last night, + was glad
to hear that you were all
well, I am well at present
and hope when these few lines
reach you they will find
you the same,
there is not much news
about camp every thing
goes on as usual, we have
our regular drills, company
+ battallion drill twice
a day the work is not
hard but just enough to
keep us busy.
we have our full uniform
our coat and pants is blue
and overcoat is gray with
the regulation hat
we present quite a war-
=like appearance when
on dress parade
I had a letter from home
stating that Albert
had enlisted in the
11th Cavalry
I have not seen O
[ ? ]
Mc Henney we are in
a brigade of Wis troops
and have no chance to see
any one
tell John for me to stay
at home and try and
be contented for this
wont last allways
times will be better bye
+ bye, after the war is over
I will got and make shook
with John
I suppose you would
like to know what we
have to live on so I
will give you a bill
of fare
for breakfast
coffee + bakers bread + prok

the rations that is alowed
to a soldier is I enough
for any man
