strange you do not hear from me
oftener for I have written nearly
every day. I did not know but you
would get tired reading so many.
You cannot tell how glad I am
that you write often. I honestly
believe if I could get hold of you
I would kiss you,
as much as once,

I am glad to hear you was so
highly complimented. but you
must not feel to

for “your office
may go out”
I have got my black and white
dress
dome done. and am making
the other one with a cape just like
it to wear for an outdoor garment.
every one who has seen it thinks it
is just as pretty as it can be.
Three weeks to night since you went away.
how long it seems in that time mother
and myself have mad two night dresses
two chimees two pair of drawers, one dress,
and the other one nearly done for my-
self. two fine shirst for Orman & one
for Mr Van Winkle, have we not been
smart, we have not been very busy either.
I have not worked half of the time.
it is the old machine that makes
work fly.
Thank you very much for sending
that paper. it has not come yet but
I guess it will this noon. it always
has taken the papers longer to get
here than the letters.
Love me always and write often.
